Charities that Pick up Donations

St. Vincent DePaul

• Be our partner in helping those in need in our area by donating your gently used furniture, household items and clothing. We are unable to receive large appliances such as stoves, refrigerators or washers and dryers.
• Donations may be made at any of our two thrift store locations during business hours.
  To schedule a pick up, call 314-882-6006 Monday through Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm.

Salvation Army

• We will accept furniture, mattresses in good condition, complete computer systems and small items. Please, no hospital items, pianos or exercise equipment. Items need to be on the ground level for our drivers to load them into our truck. We have a referral list for items we do not accept, but other charities do. Hope House

• We accept furniture, if placed on ground level for our drivers to load into our truck.

Independence Center

• We accept furniture, mattresses in good condition and small items. Please, no sleeper sofas, exercise equipment or major appliances. 314-533-4245

The Greater St. Louis Book Fair

• We have a drop off location (a book house) in the parking lot behind the old Famous Barr parking garage at the corner of Forsyth and Jackson.
• From Forsyth, go north on Jackson 1/2 block; turn west into parking lot behind the building. Book House drop off is on the upper side of the parking lot.
• Please, only books in good condition
• If you have more than 3 boxes of books, CDs, or DVDs, please call 314-993-1995 and leave a message to schedule a pickup. These donations benefit Nursery Foundation and other charitable organizations.
